A homely café since 2011

Cathedral Cafe is on Dean Street in The Liberties, Dublin 8, a few steps from St Patrick's Cathedral. It was opened in 2011 by Trevor Lee, and is now run day to day by Teresa Varela.

Inside, exposed brickwork and wooden beams sit alongside religious statues and icons, including a Virgin Mary by the door, and a neon sign that reads "Karma".

Fry-ups, eggs Benedict and the Green Breakfast of poached eggs, avocado, toast and sautéed greens.

Sandwiches, rolls and soup, with home-baked cakes, pastries and blueberry scones on the counter.
